{Lifestyle} Secrets Organic September ’17 Box

The latest edition of the Secrets Organic Box* arrived on my doorstep at the start of the month, and I have had about 4 weeks to thoroughly test out the items before revealing my review!

A little background… Secrets Organic Box is a subscription service dedicated to promoting organic products, in an effort to help us all live a little greener. Their teams mission is “To create a world where products aren’t labelled as Organic, they simply are”, and they are slowly working towards this mission by educating us on which products and brands are organic!

You can find my previous reviews for the Secrets Organic Boxes here.

If you are interested in signing up and getting your own boxes delivered then you can go here to look at the options, subscriptions start from $22 per month, and I also have a $5 off coupon for your first box! Be sure to use the code.

Pure Harvest Golden Quench | $3.50 (1L)
I’m going to be honest, I’m a little hesitant to test this, I’ve never been a huge fan of alternative milks, and this one does sound a little different… Turmeric and coconut milk, it’s an interesting combination. But hey, maybe it’s delicious!

Republica Coffee Capsules Paris | $5.00
I also haven’t tried these yet as I don’t have a coffee machine… I’m going to borrow my dad’s though because they sound delicious! They are described as a sweet and delicate coffee with hints of honey and caramel. Definitely my type of coffee! These pods are Nespresso compatible and biodegradable.

Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Mylk | $47.50 (12pk)
Mmm, who doesn’t love chocolate milk?! And choc milk I didn’t feel guilty about afterwards? Hell yeah! This organic coconut milk drink with cacao only has 4 ingredients; spring water, organic coconut milk, organic date nectar and organic cacao. This tasted so good! Because it was made with coconut milk instead of dairy it was not as thick as regular choc milk, but the flavour was almost exactly the same!

INIKA Organic Certified Organic Vegan Lipstick – Nude Pink | $39.00
INIKA is such a excellent brand, they always have such nice products, I’m so glad the boxes contained these lippies, and their worth definitely covered this month’s subscription service! The shade of the lipstick, Nude Pink, was a little on the light side for my skin tone, but I’m thrilled with it none the less! The formula is so creamy and long lasting, I was impressed with its inclusion.

Angove Organic Shiraz Cabernet 2016 | $17.00 (750ml)
I don’t drink red wine, but Kody does! He said he really enjoyed it, he could definitely taste the red cherry and pepper undertones, and he said that the aftermath was incredibly smooth and earthy. The other flavours he couldn’t quite pinpoint were raspberry and oak! He said he would be keen to buy another bottle after sampling this!

Bubs Organic Banana & Apricot Powder Porridge Pouch | $2.49
I don’t have children, but I thought I’d taste this anyway… Apparently, I’m not a huge fan of baby food… But Charlie is! He would have tried to eat it all if I had let him!

Organic Activated Mixed Nuts | $3.00 (40g)
This looks like a great nut mixture, containing, almonds, Brazil nuts, cashews, macadamias, pecans, and walnuts. Unfortunately, this little pack is filled with anaphylactic shock for me, so it’s a no-go zone!

Oh I’d be hesitant about trying that coconut and turmeric milk too. I’m sure it tastes amazing, but it does sound a little strange and make me wary, haha!

Hope you have had a good weekend! I’m currently enjoying the long weekend as it’s a public holiday today in Brisbane 🙂

Haha that is exactly how I feel Mica! I’m sure the milk is good, I’m just being a bit cautious!

Hope you had a fantastic long weekend! Xx
