{Lifestyle} My Op-Shop Haul – Living Greener

IMG_9887

I often speak of my love for op-shopping, it’s the environmental and cost effective option if you are looking to update your wardrobe and you know what you’re looking for and are committed to looking for it. Too many items are being dumped into landfill all around the world and shopping second hand keeps those items from landfill, donates the money to charity and gives the items a new life, I honestly don’t see a down side to it.

Of course op-shopping does take a little practice, a few tricks of the trade and a good game plan. But if you know what you’re looking for the benefits can be unbelievable. The other day I went into Good Sammys, which is an Australian charity thrift store, when I was there I noticed they had a $1 rack, which I managed to score a few amazing items from.

Since I bought quite a few items I couldn’t photograph them for a haul correctly, so I decided to dabble in the world of vlogging. I recorded my first vlog and wanted to keep it raw and unedited, so please excuse the pauses, the “umms” and the mumbling. I was daunted at first, but actually ended up enjoying it. Hopefully I will gain some more confidence, I definitely prefer being behind the camera rather than in front of it, and perhaps continue to vlog in the future.

After this vlog was shot I went to another thrift store and found a $0.50 rack where I purchased 5 tops for only $2.50! I told you op-shopping was great!

Do you ever find great scores while op-shopping?
What is your favourite op-shop find?
Would you like to see some more (improved) vlogs by me?

Thanks for stopping by.

Congrats on your first vlog! I didn’t realise ASOS and Sportsgirl brands would pop up at thrift shops. Great finds!
