On Friday night Kody and I were lucky enough to be gifted with two tickets* to see the opening night of Infamous, the 18+ Adults Cabaret Circus Sensation, debuting their show under the Spiegel Big Top, in Victoria Park. I was so pleased that we were able to get out and do something a little different this date night, and having the tickets gifted to us from Aligator Media meant that we had a little extra money in savings this fortnight! Thanks for an amazing evening Aligator Media, and the troupe from Infamous!
Infamous is a Perth borne show, with backbones from another popular Australian circus, however, Infamous is definitely not a family friendly event! The troupe is filled with acrobats, strongmen, aerialists, rude clowns, cabaret dancers, a comedic host, Jez Watts, and even the Perth star singer Cosima de Vito.
The show really does cater for everyone, except under 18’s, with their thrilling circus acts, mesmerising acrobatics, gorgeous cabaret dancers – for the guys, topless strongmen – for the girls, enthralling vocalists and even comedic relief. But not to worry, the show isn’t overly crude or nude. The girls remained in their gorgeous, yet skimpy costumes, and the men didn’t take off more than their shirts, leaving the show at a comfortable level of sexuality.
Since it was an 18+ event the Spiegel Big Top contained a bar and liquor was free flowing and they even had slushie cocktails on offer. It was a simply incredible event, it felt absolutely wonderful being transported back to childlike awe at the circus, while still attending an adult event. Infamous will only be in Perth for a few more days before they take their show on a national tour so make sure you grab your tickets fast!
