{Lifestyle} Favourite Things – November ’16

I know I’m late writing up this post (along with most of my other posts), but hey, better late than never right?! This November I had a few more clear favourites from new products I had purchased and I’m fairly sure that everything in this post was purchased within November (or relatively close).

I would really like to know how you are enjoying this series and what you think of it so please remember to leave a comment at the end, and if you would like to read more posts from this series I have also published my October, September, August and July favourites.

Betsi Bag | Betty Brown
This November I went to the Ladybird Popup Markets at the Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre (mentioned in this post), while I was there I simply had to pick up this gorgeous black handbag from Betty Brown, it is made with black leather and black cow hide complete with a tassel on the zip. This bag basically hasn’t come away from my side since I purchased it! I’m absolutely in love with it!

Succulent Cubes | Our Little Succulents
At the same markets I picked up three little wooden succulent cubes from Our Little Succulents for only a few dollars each. So far I’ve managed to keep them alive, and I think they are pretty freaking adorable!

Revelation Eyeshadow – #23 Rose Gold* | Gilded Cage
This was one of the gorgeous items gifted to me by Gilded Cage at the Bloggers United AU Perth event. The shade #23, Rose Gold, has been a recent favourite of mine, and the formula to this eyeshadow is amazing, unlike anything else I have tried before! It applies as a cream and sets as a powder with incredible staying power, it also works wonderfully as light shimmers to your lid, or if you build it up into a full-on glitter look.

The Girl on the Train | Kmart
I got back into reading novels again over the last few months, it all started with Me Before You, and I have tried to keep up with books I am interested in since then. Unfortunately, over November/December I have been busier and therefore halted a little on the reading front. The current book I am working my way through is The Girl on the Train, I’m going to be honest, it was a little confusing and difficult to read at the start, but I persisted and became completely absorbed, I can’t wait to find some time to pick it up again!

Leather Sandals | Thrift Store
I picked up these genuine leather sandals from the thrift store for only $2 in November, and I have been absolutely loving them ever since, they are so comfortable, and I think they look pretty cute on too!

Lovisa Lace Choker | Thrift Store
Another thrift store purchase for November was this brand new Lovisa lace choker for only $2, it still had its $15.99 price tag attached! I’ve really gotten obsessed with chokers this season, so you might imagine this quickly became one of my favourite purchases!

Japanese Maple Bonsai | Wanneroo Markets – Vina Horticulture Bonsai and Nursery
Back in November we took a trip into the Wanneroo Markets, we browsed, ate Top Dog in Town hotdogs and I came home with this beautiful plant baby! A Japanese Maple bonsai. I’m going to be honest and let you all know that I fried it in December, but slowly there are new signs of life showing, so hopefully it’s still got some life left in it. If it does manage to survive I still need a Disney themed name for it, so make sure you comment with some suggestions for me!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – #52 Vanilla | Priceline
This is currently my favourite everyday foundation. If you have followed my blog for a while you might remember that I was on the hunt for a holy grail foundation, taking sample after sample home from Mecca only to be disappointed, turns out I was looking in the wrong place! Surprise, surprise my holy grail is actually a drug store brand!

Bourjois Blush – #3 Brun Cuivre | Priceline
I bought this Bourjois blush at the last Priceline 40% Off Cosmetics Sale and it quickly became a standout in my collection. The shade is unlike any others I have tried before and yet it looks so nice and natural on my skin tone, the packaging, of course, is adorable and the blush has a faint rose scent to it which just adds a little touch of luxury to the product as you apply it.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector – Opal | Sephora
This product was generously gifted to me by Kodys mum, although not at the same time as the rest of my haul, as she claimed it didn’t match her skin tone, I haven’t had the same problem and this has become a favourite highlighter at the moment. It is so pigmented and shimmery, yet it still blends in really smoothly, I’m just completely in love!

Satin MAC Lipstick – Amorous | MAC
I had enough MAC empties to trade in for another free MAC lipstick, I spent quite a bit of time at the counter swatching all the shades I liked and finally settled upon Amorous, a lovestruck cranberry. I’m so happy with my shade choice, Amorous is the perfect shade for me, it’s feminine whilst being edgy, it’s dark without being Gothic, and it just suits me down to a t.

Love reading your Favourites posts, keep em coming in this new year ? How is the bonsai doing? Has it come back?

Thanks Anna, I’m planning on continuing with them, for now at least… the bonsai is actually very slowly surprising me by making a come back. All the dead leaves fell off a few days and now you can see about 5 or 6 tiny little fresh leaves that have just come through. Maybe there i hope yet!
