I love Christmas, I just think that it is a nice time of year, in the week leading up to Christmas (so, now!) I feel like everyone is generally more cheerful and happy (unless of course your stuck in a giant checkout que!). Working in a cafe means I see a large volume of people every day, and for those brief moments that I interact with them they seem generally happier than in any other month of the year. But who knows, maybe it’s just me?!
I love Christmas, I love the time spent bonding with family, and I love gift giving! The thought that goes into choosing gifts truly touches me, and I love seeing others faces light up as they open their own gifts! In saying all that I still have a fairly good idea of what I like, and what I would like, so I make sure I write up a little Christmas wishlist each year to give my family and friends a little help in deciding what to get me, haha!
For Christmas 2016 I would like;
Matador 4 Burner Hooded Boss BBQ from Bunnings: This is the big item on the list, a brand new Matador BBQ. I’m not sure if this is the exact model, but we have our eye out to snap up a Matador BBQ in the post Christmas sales as Kodys and my Christmas gift from family! Very amazing and generous gift, I just hope the price comes down in some of the boxing day sales! I can’t wait to set up our BBQ and start cooking, and eating, outdoors this summer!
Wrist Watch Kit in Khaki from Hammered Leatherworks: I met Bec (one of the owners/creators) of Hammered Leatherworks the other day at the Pot It Like It’s Hot Christmas VIP Night, I instantly fell in love with her company and all her amazing designs! I’m hoping that Kody might take the hints I’ve been throwing his way about a new watch and pick this one up!
GHD Curve Creative Wand Copper Luxe Gift Set from GHD: I cut my hair back in September and I still haven’t found a curler or curling technique that seems to work for me. I thought maybe I should just go straight to the top and grab a GHD curler! Haha, wouldn’t that be nice!
Kat Von D Black Magic Lipstick + Liner Duo from Sephora: I’ve heard so many good things about the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and I really want to get my hands on it, the only problem now is deciding between this duo pack or just getting the full sized version? I think I would be happy with either option!
Bourjois Rouge Aqua Laque Lipstick in Appechissant from Priceline: Umm so yeah, I tried Bourjois for the first time a little while ago and I was honestly blown away! Loved their products! I am yet to try their lip products though, and I have had people tell me that they are the bomb, so it’s on the list!
Bourjois Blush in Lilas D’or from Priceline: One thing I have tried from the Bourjois range was their blush, I picked up the shade, Brun Cuivre at the last Priceline cosmetics sale and fell in love, I desperately want to try a few more shades from the Bourjois range and I think the shade Lilas D’or looks perfect!
Thicker Than Water Skirt from Mura Boutique: Wrap skirts (dresses and tops) are completely in this summer! I’ve always loved a good wrap maxi skirt, so I think this gorgeous bohemian styled skirt from the Australian boutique, Mura, would be a gorgeous piece to add to my wardrobe this summer!
Round Basket with Pom Pom Drops from Little Green Project: How adorable is this basket? I have a love for straw baskets, not sure why but I’ve always loved them… I think this oversized round basket with pom poms attached would be perfect for a day at the beach, or even for a quick browse of the farmer’s market!
Madras Link Vinyl Backed Hello Outdoor Mat from Bunnings: Kody and I are using the worn down front door mat which was left behind by the previous tenants, it looks awful and it’s so worn that it barely cleans your shoes as you enter anyway, it would be lovely to have a nice welcoming entry to our little cottage!
Otto A5 Week to View Diary in Yellow Tropical from Officeworks: I don’t remember the last year I didn’t have a weekly diary to plan my days in, I’m the type of person who likes to be organised, and I have used the Lorna Jane one I got for Christmas last year every single day. This year I am going for something a little plainer, as I didn’t really use any of the recipes or extras from the Lorna Jane diary anyway.
By The Sea Top from Mura Boutique: Another fabulous wrap item from Mura Boutique. This store has some really nice designs, I struggled to condense my favourites down to only two items, but I really think this top would be fantastic for summer, plus it’s a wrap, so very in at the moment, and it’s in a dark navy shade, which is one of my favourite colours to wear! It’s perfect from where I’m standing!
Scrappy Little Nobody Book from Booktopia: I’m sure I’m not alone when I tell you that I loved Pitch Perfect, I thought Anna Kendrick made the film, and I haven’t been able to get enough of her since. I really love her sense of humour and I think this book written by her would be highly entertaining! I can’t wait to read it!
