{Lifestyle} Beauty To A Tea Perth Event

Way back in October 2016, what seems like forever ago now, I was lucky enough to attend the very first Beauty To A Tea Event here in Perth. The event was organised by the gorgeous Jen from JENunie Blogger and Aisling from The Skin Nurse Australia.

I umm-ed and ahh-ed over posting about this event for literally months, since I lost all the pictures I had taken on my camera that day, and I was only left with a few happy snaps from my phone! However, a little birdie told me there may be a second event coming up very soon (follow JENuine Blogger for updates), and I really wanted to share my experience so that you will know what you’re up for if you decide to attend Beauty To A Tea event number two!

Of course, I started the picture taking journey with a pre-event selfie in my car. My hair and makeup was thanks to Kody’s mum (some beauty blogger I am!) and I wore a grey dress I bought in Melbourne two years ago, whilst visiting my sister.

Entering the room, drink already in hand, you could quickly see the sheer size of this event, I believe including stall holders there were close to 200 women in attendance. I knew no one on entering so I sat with a group of woman who had a spare seat close to the stage. Each place setting was adorned with an event schedule, a goodie bag, and a little jar of jell beans, while a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers was placed in the centre.

Although I didn’t know anyone personally as I entered I quickly found out that a few bloggers I follow on Instagram were also attending, by the first break I had met up with Sheryl from MsCHIKEE and Maddy from My Little Love Story. We took selfies, ate high tea and browsed the many stalls on display together.

One of the sponsors and stalls on display was Lash Sublime, each lady who attended the event received a beautiful pair of their lashes in the goodie bag, and they also had a large selection available for purchase too. From their stall, I made a fun little impulsive purchase of a phone selfie ring light, and I also used their tablet to see what different shaped lashes would look like on me!

High tea was delicious and there was a large selection of sweet and savoury delights on offer. After the break for high tea it was go-go-go, and straight back into listening and watching the presenters on stage.

Throughout the afternoon we had a huge range of presenters and demonstrations on stage.

The event started with a quick introduction from the hosts, Jennifer and Aisling, followed by some relaxing guided meditation to settle us all in, led by Amelia Harvey who now runs the Exhale Mindfulness Studio.

After meditation we had styling tips from Bridget Hudson, a quick talk on current nail trends by the Glamour Nail Babes and a makeup demonstration from makeup artist Erin Maie, who stunned us all with her quick smoky eye!

After a break for high tea we resumed the evening with a talk from Dr Sarah Varma on cosmetic dentistry, followed by a Q&A on fitness and nutrition by Jo and Lizzie from F45 Training. Lash Sublime also got on stage, talking about lashing techniques and care, followed by a hair styling tutorial by Jessica Twamley, who showed us how to achieve the ultimate beach waves and full bodied evening pony tail.

We took one more break and then took our seats again to hear an inspirational talk from Michelle Nazaroff, a natural body builder, then Aisling took the stage to give us all her skincare tips and advice. Dr Jamil also conducted a talk on facial aesthetics and Botox before giving away an amazing price to one lucky attendee! Finally, Jen got up and gave out her top blogging advice followed by the final Q&A of the evening. It was then wrapped up when Jen and Aisling gave out the many prizes to all the attendees of the event!

There was a huge amount of information provided to us at the event, as well as a lovely goodie bag to take home and wonderful prizes handed out! All in all, it was a fabulous day, the perfect outing for your next girls’ night out!

I hope to see you at the next event! Xx

Did you go to this event in 2016?
Perhaps you’re considering the 2017 event?
