{Fashion} Thrifted Finds – June ’17

I only went thrifting three times this June, but I still managed to buy up a storm! Everything I bought was super cheap, and I’m thrilled with my purchases. But don’t expect to see a Thrifted Finds post this July as I am attempting a No Buy July, abstaining from making any beauty or fashion purchases!

My first thrifting sesh of the month was at the Heathridge Vinnies store, while I was there I picked up a pair of genuine leather, made in England, black gloves for $5! It was perfect timing for me, as I was just thinking I wanted a pair of leather gloves to wear to work in the mornings. And you know what they say, if the glove fits… I also went through their half price rack, where I picked up a brand new, grey, crop top, jumper with the tags still attached for $3 and a nice white, long sleeve top for $2.50!

Kody and I spent a Sunday morning at the swap mart this June, and while I was there I grabbed a few bargains! I bought the red Sportsgirl crop top, the kimono from Idol Collection, a khaki green top and the Lorna Jane tights for $1 each. The lace tank top and jacket were only $2 each, and the brand-new lace Sportsgirl top and brand-new pair of Cotton On jeans were $3 each!

Lastly, my sister and I went up to my favourite thrift store, the Merriwa Thrift Store, for their “Everything $2” sale! I bought a bunch of items while I was there. I bought a brand new, crop top from Tempt, I bought a pair of black and white Mika and Gala shorts and a pair of 3/4 black pants for work. I also bought a pair of light blue Sonoma mom jeans and a brand-new pair of genuine leather sandals from Novo.

I also bought a gorgeous navy blue, strapless dress from ASOS. I’m not usually a strapless fan, but this was too nice to pass up. Another unusual style for me, this gorgeous burgundy, turtle neck dress from Boohoo. I also grabbed two tops, one black and white one from the Target Collection, and the other is a vintage style crop top from Mink Pink.

One of my favourite scores from the afternoon was this gorgeous red dress from Dangerfield. I’ve only got one other dress from them, and it’s one of my favourites, so I’m excited by the possibilities of this dress! While I was there I also picked up this cute black and white top from Little Lies, and a pair of northern light tights from Onzie which look like they have never been worn!

And finally, from the same trip I bought a floral maxi dress from Cotton On, a pastel coloured midi dress from Mambo which still had the tags attached, a pastel coloured top from Forever New and a cute tank top which had a bird pattern on it. Remember, this was all $2 an item!

What did you score this month?
Did you make any thrifted purchases?
Have you got a favourite thrift store?

I was so lucky this month – I found a bundle of vintage fabrics at the local markets! I don’t really have to go on a no-spend budget for clothing because my Achilles heal is actually fabric…from which I make the fashion πŸ™‚ So it was lovely to get something I can repurpose in my designs πŸ™‚

Haha, that’s awesome Pia, I’m not really sure what my/our style is though, I just wear pieces I like… that’s about it! Thrifting is all down to finding good stores and knowing what you are looking for/at, I’m sure you will do fine! Good luck xx
