{Fashion} October ’17 Thrifted Finds

I managed to get out to thrift quite a few times this month, perhaps too many times… I went thrifting with my mum, sister and even Kody this month, so I had a lot of support to back up my thrifting decisions. I’m absolutely loving most of my buys, and I’ve already cemented a few favourites in my collection! At least one thing from every trip is now a staple in my current wardrobe, so I’m happy with the pieces, and I know I made some amazing savings!

I perused the $2 rack at my local Vinnies and found a couple of gems this month. A gorgeous mint green tank top from Bardot, as well as these elegant, light weight, loose fitting, waist high pants, which Kody fondly (or not so fondly…) refers to as my moo cow pants!

I also ducked into my favourite, Merriwa Salvos on the same day and grabbed these bargain Minnetonka Moccasins for only $2 too! The Minnetonka El Paso II Boot in brown retails for $65AU. I know they are a little out there, and probably not to every ones’ taste, but I love them, and I absolutely love finding unique items like these in thrift shops!

In the Joondalup Salvos store with my mum and sister I found this pretty white, wooden frame, and gorgeous enamel Peter Rabbit Brooch for $2.25 each. The brooch already has pride of place on the collar of my vintage Sportsgirl denim vest, which I bought back in August! It is my aim to completely fill it with pins one day!

Still with my mum, we went into the Merriwa Salvos, and I bought three items, all of which were luckily tagged with their half price colour! I bought a blush, crushed velvet tee from Dotti, which was half price at $2. Also for $2 I bought a Mambo Summer Tropical Kaftan, I love its tropical print and cool, summer colours, I can’t wait to throw this over some bathers and go to the beach!

Lastly I bought a brand new Ava and Ever Vanessa Maxi Dress in a navy blue. It still has its $60 price tag attached and I bought it on sale for only $5!

Again, with mum, we stopped into a thrift store which sells all clothes for $2, and I got some more great pieces! I bought a light grey, knit tee dress from Sportsgirl {similar}, two pairs of shorts, the denim pair look brand new and were from Just Jeans {similar}, super happy about that! From JeansWest I bought a cute, blue knit cardigan, and I also grabbed a navy cross stitch top from Lee Cooper which I have already worn a bunch of times!

Quickly stopping back in at my local, the Merriwa Salvos, one afternoon produced this collection of leather goods! I bought a vintage, leather backpack, it does have age, but I think it is quirky and unique, I love it, and it is large enough to fit my laptop inside too! I thought it was a great score for $7! I also bought a brand new pair of Australian designer, James Smith, leather sandals, and an almost new pair of leather Siren cowgirl inspired ankle boots for $2 each, another huge saving, considering the sandals are still being sold for $150, and Siren boots are usually priced around the $200 mark!

The Joondalup Good Sammies had an overflowing $2 rack this month, so I picked up a few items! I bought a fluro green top, which has a long, floral back branded Muska Ink, I also got a fabulous long sleeve, collared, vintage inspired top from Ark & Co, which I have already worn a heap of times and I’m completely in love with it! Finally, I also got a long sleeved, raspberry dress from Portmans, it was a great deal, considering it still has its $99.95 price tag attached!

My last thrifting session of the month saw me buy these goodies, all for $2 each! I bought a pair of Riders by Lee Super Skinny Jeans, which retail for $99.95, a grey batwing top from Rip Curl and a really cute pair of light weight and colourful shorts from Rockmans! So far, I’m loving the shorts in this hot Perth weather, they are so light and cool, and of course I love tassels!

What did you thrift this month?

Oh you got so many bargains it’s impossible for me to pick a favourite! I wish I had more luck thrifting. My local opshop had a ‘fill a bag for $2’ sale but out of the 3 things I got for me I had to alter 2 of them, haha! Not quite the instant easy bargains. I’m happy to have paid a little to alter them though, they are great pieces! πŸ™‚ I can just never find much in my size normally!

Hope you are having a lovely weekend! We are getting our family Santa photo done today, and I’ve done a little more Christmas shopping to try get organised! πŸ™‚
