It only took me three products to qualify for this gift bag, and practically everything was on sale too! Winning!
I chose to grab another tub of my favourite loose powder foundation, since I am running low, the Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover for Light Skin Tones. I also picked up another tube of the Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Gel in Dark Brown, as I seem to be running low on this too! Lastly, I grabbed a nude shade of the Australis Velourlips Matte Lip Cream in the colour Pa-Ree, which is almost an apricot toned nude shade. Goodbye $60, hello free cosmetics!
The gift bag contained a 50mL tube of the Nude by Nature Soft Focus Illuminator. I haven’t tried this product yet, but I am quite fond of everything Nude by Nature, so I can’t wait to see how it goes! I also received a tube of NYX Turnt Up Lipstick in the shade Tuls #05. I have only tried the butter glosses from the NYX lip range, and I really loved them so I’m definitely excited to see how well the lipsticks perform too. I have been meaning to grab one of the Maybelline Baby Lips Balm and Blushes for ages now, so I was absolutely thrilled to see one in the shade #06 Shimmering Bronze included in this year’s bag! Australis included their High Life Illuminating Strobe Powder in the shade Glimmer, I’ve tried this product in a different shade before, so I already know I will love it! And lastly for this section, Revlon included a Balm Stain in the shade #001 Honey. Their Matte Balm was included in last years goodie bag, I loved that, so I’m excited to try this now too. I’m also a huge fan of all the shades I received, they are all shades that I would have selected for myself, so that makes me even more thrilled with this gift bag!
Alright, same as last year I received another EcoPouf Mini Sponge from EcoTools. I also got two large emery boards, one from Revlon and the other from Manicare. Rimmel included their Scandeleyes Reloaded Mascara in the shade #001 Black, I have’t tried a Rimmel mascara in literally years, so I’m keen to give them another go, and it is always handy to have a spare mascara around! Savvy included a Brow Pencil and Wax in a Medium shade, while Look Good, Feel Better included an Angled Blending Brush. And lastly, Models Prefer contributed a Lip Balm in Berry Bang, and a Lip Lacquer in the shade Heat Wave, which is probably the only item included which I’m not 100% digging the colour!
Of course, you also receive a cute, reusable, cosmetics bag, with a funky bubbled pattern all over it. I believe there is even a choice of a black or green bag! I’m really liking the look of this year’s bag a lot more than the floral one they released last year.
Whilst at first glance I thought this 2017 bag contained less items than last years bag, I decided that probably wasn’t quite correct, almost everything can be compared to something else from the 2016 bag. I then realised that I think I actually prefer the items included this year overall, and the colours I received were (almost) all perfect shades for me.
