As you probably already knew, last week Priceline (yet again) had their 40% off cosmetics sale. There wasn’t actually anything I needed, but I couldn’t keep myself away, in the end I gravitated into the store and ended up picking up some new items! Their last 40% off cosmetics sale was in April, and if you haven’t already seen my post you can check out what I bought here.
In total I ended up buying 9 items in this Priceline sale. All items were new purchases for me so I’ve been pretty excitedly testing them out since buying them! I bought 5 items from the new Essence range, Me & My Umbrella, 2 items from Bourjois and two new concealers which I have heard good things about.
Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – Vanilla | $19.20
I remember reading a review a while ago (I can’t for the life of me remember who it was by) where the author was swearing by this foundation. Even though I can’t remember who wrote the review it has always stuck with me, and I’ve wanted to give Bourjois a go, since I’ve never tried any of their products before. This sale seemed like the perfect chance!
Bourjois Blush – Brun Cuivre | $12.00
These Bourjois blushes were just too beautiful to resist, they are gorgeous to look at, as well as being subtly scented with rose! I decided to get the shade Brun Cuivre as it was more apricot/peach in shade, a colour that I didn’t already own. As it is so nicely shimmery I feel that this shade would work well as a highlighter too if you wanted!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer – Light | $11.37
This has been on my wishlist for a long time, honestly I don’t know why I waited until now to finally purchase it. I think the final straw for me was when MsChikee raved about it as one of her top drugstore concealers. I am so very keen to see if this lives up to the hype, as you probably know dark under eye circles are the bane of my existence, nothing will get rid of them, but maybe this will help cover it up. Who knows…
Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer – Natural Beige | $3.06
Another concealer which I have (surprisingly) heard good things about is this Essence Camouflage Cream Concealer, apparently it is meant to brighten your under eye like nobody’s business. But we shall see, so far I have my reservations, but I will keep you guys updated!
Essence Me & My Umbrella Blush – #01 You Can Stand Under My Umbrella | $4.05
I thought this whole range was actually really cute. It’s a bit of a shame that it got released in Australia’s spring time, but I’m just going to have to ignore that. Unfortunately none of the products from this Essence range are on the Priceline online store, so sorry but I have no links for you guys! Basically I bought this blush because it is a nice colour that isn’t quite the same as the berry shades I tend to buy and also I really loved the pan design, it’s super cute!
Essence Me & My Umbrella Brow Thickener – #02 Walking On The Rainbow | $3.06
This item I picked up because I don’t usually do much with my brows. They are naturally quite thick and I actually like them how they are, crazy I know! But this product had a cute little applicator, the likes of which I hadn’t seen before, so for $3 I thought I would check it out.
Essence Me & My Umbrella Rain Boots Nail Polish – #02 I Love Rainy Days, #03 Take Me To The Clouds, #04 I Have My Pockets Full Of Sunshine | $2.46 each
My favourite colour of nail polish which I picked up from this sale was the shade #02. I think it is a gorgeous burgundy, a colour I would have loved to have worn all through autumn. I think the other shades, especially #04 will be a little more suitable for the upcoming summer though. These nail polishes also boast a “gummi effect for matte nails” which I love the idea of!
