June is done and dusted, and another nine products have been emptied into my beauty bin! I honestly don’t know how we got over halfway through the year… like, when did that happen? Anyway, this month I used up a few samples I had laying around, as well as some of my holy grail products!
Wotnot Biodegradable Natural Baby Wipes* | $7.99 (80pk)
I was lucky enough to receive this 5pk sample of Wotnot Baby Wipes in the June Secrets Organic Box. I expressed my joy upon receiving them, as I had tried them before, and they are one of the few Wotnot products that do not contain nut oils. I really love how large, thick and soft these wipes are, and although they are not specifically makeup remover, facial, wipes I think they are fantastic for the job and I hope to grab more soon. Definitely value for money!
Repurchase decision: Yes, I would love to grab a large pack of these!
Smart Skin Moisturising Facial Wipes | $2.50 (25pk)
A pack of facial wipes I keep coming back to is the Smart Skin wipes at Woolworths. They are just so cheap, they are nearly always on sale for $1 a pack at Woolies, and they are just so easy to chuck into your cart! It’s a no brainer!
Repurchase decision: Yes, I’ve already got some more to use.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel | $24.99 (50g)
Another tub of mine and Kody’s favourite moisturiser went into the beauty bin this month! Good thing I keep stocking up on it while it is on sale in Priceline! As I have said many times before, this is both Kody and my favourite moisturiser, mostly due to its light and water like consistency.
Repurchase decision: Yep, onto another tub already, with a little stockpile in the bathroom cupboard too!
Nude by Nature Natural Mineral Cover – Light/Medium | $39.95 (15g)
This Nude by Nature mineral foundation is my go-to face powder. Honestly, I love this product, I have used it practically every single day since I was about 18 years old, and I’m still loving it! Another thing I really love about this powder is how long it lasts me! One 15g pot will last a number of months at least, the last one I emptied was way back in September, and it comes up on sale in Priceline all the time!
Repurchase decision: Yep, I’m onto my next pot!
Skindinavia The Makeup Finishing Spray | $39.95
I’m a bit of a terrible beauty blogger, I rarely use primer, and I hardly ever apply finishing spray! I only use this for special occasions, when I really need my makeup to stay in place, but I do quite enjoy it! I find it nice and cooling when applied, and the product really does help to protect the longevity of my makeup.
Repurchase decision: I have a tiny bit more left in another bottle, then I’m going to need a new one of these babies!
Colgate 360 Degree Soft Toothbrush | $5.00
I don’t usually add my teeth cleaning accessories, but these are different. This month I received a sample of the Pearl Bar Charcoal Toothpaste (below), and not wanting to ruin the nice new head of my normal, electric toothbrush, I pulled out one of the new, soft brushes that I keep on hand for the dogs, or guests (don’t worry, they are brand new and sealed!). I needn’t have worried though, the charcoal toothpaste left no stains!
Repurchase decision: Not for me, but I’ll grab a few more next time I have to clean the dogs teeth 🙂
Pearl Bar Natural Whitening Toothpaste – Peppermint* | $19.95 (113g)
As I said above, I got these samples of the Pearl Bar charcoal toothpaste in my Secrets Organic Box this June. I thought this would be very black, and stain my toothbrush, but I needn’t have worried, it was grey instead, and left no stains. I wasn’t a huge fan of the flavour, and it seemed that you couldn’t get the taste out of your mouth after brushing, it wasn’t intolerable, it just wasn’t pleasant. Basically, it felt like a chore to get through this tiny sample in the end.
Repurchase decision: I’ve got another sample that I’m using up, but I won’t buy this for myself.
Batiste Dry Shampoo – Tropical | $9.99 (200mL)
I’m still in love as ever with my Batiste dry shampoo, you must know this by now though, as these is a bottle in nearly every empties post I have written. Tropical is my overarching favourite scent, although there have been a number of nice, limited edition, scents recently!
Repurchase decision: No. I need to buy the bigger bottle instead, 200mL just isn’t enough 🙂
Co Lab Dry Shampoo – New York | $10.99 (200mL)
I was given this bottle of dry shampoo, and I had rather high expectations for it, but I’m not sure if it quite delivered for me. While it was nice, and it was definitely ‘sheer’ and ‘invisible’ I just don’t think it was potent enough to deal with my extremely oily hair! I felt like I had to put so much more of this product in my hair before I saw an effect, and sometimes I would end up touching up with Batiste anyway…
Repurchase decision: No, unfortunately it isn’t for me.
Have you been though many empties this month?
Have you tried out the Co Lab dry shampoo? Did it work for you?
What is your favourite moisturiser?
Thanks for stopping by.
