So, I’m pretty much the luckiest girl alive!
Today I am sharing with you a recent makeup haul that I was GIFTED! Are you jelly yet?
You may remember that Kody’s mum very generously passed a number of items on to me at the start of the year, well I wrote about it here in case you want to catch up on that delightful haul. Anyway, she decided to de-clutter her collection again, and passed on some items that she had decided weren’t for her. They are all mostly new, and have been used very little, if at all! I am, as always, incredibly grateful for this gift and her generosity makes up basically all of my high end makeup collection!
This post won’t be a review, as I haven’t even had the chance to try all of these products yet, it will just be an initial haul, and then I may review a few of the products in more detail later, or include them in my empties posts.
First up was the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream in Fair, now I will definitely be writing more about this product soon, as it is currently my absolute favourite foundation. You guys know I’ve been on the hunt for my ultimate foundation, and this is it! I also was given the RapidBrow Eyebrow Enhancing Serum, my eyebrows are quite thick already, but I wouldn’t mind testing out thins product on a patchy area I think I have on one of my brows. The RMS Beauty Eye Polish in Karma was also included, guys I haven’t used this product yet but I have swatched it, I can tell you the shade is very dark and the product is creamy and buildable, apart from that, I have no clue! Another foundation I have fallen in love with is the Chantecaille Just Skin in Glow, however I haven’t used this product as much as the IT Cosmetics CC Cream.
This haul also included three items from NARS the NARS Blush in Douceur, the NARS Bronzing Powder in Laguna and the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Biscayne Park, all of which are absolutely beautiful shades which compliment my skin tone.
One item that was actually mostly used when it was passed to me was the Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray, Kody’s mum had already bought a replacement and I had mentioned that I wanted to try it so she gave me the last of the bottle. I haven’t actually tried it yet, I’m waiting for the perfect opportunity, but I’m really keen to give it a go, I’ve heard nothing but good things about this one! Three brand new products however where the Beauty Blender Original, the Beauty Blender Blotterazzi and the Beauty Blender Blender Cleanser. She had heard that I had never actually tried the original beauty blender, so when she purchased herself a replacement she bought it in a back with one for me too! How nice is that! Then she included the other items as well.
I think these might be my favourite products, but I’m not sure if I’m saying that just because they are so damn shiny and beautiful! Honestly I still haven’t used these a great deal, I feel like they are too beautiful to be wasted! First up is my new favourite highlighter from the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow duo, I haven’t used the sculpt shade as much, but the highligher is to die for, it is super pigmented and glowy! The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush is also fantastic, I mean, how gorgeous is that palette? And the exact same goes for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous Light. Lastly I have the L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow – Pink Sapphire, which is amazingly glittery and pigmented, it is also nicely buildable, so it can be a shiny soft pink shade on your eyelids or you can apply more for a super striking glittery lid!
The products in this section have barely been touched yet, I’ve only swatched the shades but I received the Laura Mercier Violet Asphalt Tightline Cake Eye Liner with Chocolate/Cashmere and Sable/Morning Dew Eye Colour Duets, which has some absolutely gorgeous eye shades on it. I was also gifted with the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze 3 which looks like a lovely light, matte bronzer which I can’t wait to experiment with more. I also got the Inglot Freedom System however I’m not actually sure what the shades are called, whatever they are I’m excited. I’ve wanted to try Inglot products for ages and now I finally can, these shades are absolutely beautiful as well, and as always I adore the packaging! Lastly for this section I was gifted with the Kevyn Aucoin The Lip Brush.
The first MAC product I was given, the MAC Fluidline Eyeliner in Dipdown, was actually given to me as it had dried out and I’m collecting MAC containers to swap for another lipstick for the Back to MAC promotion, super grateful for that one, I think I have enough containers to grab a new lippy now, I just need to decide on the shade. I also received the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow in Emerveille, which I am yet to try, as well as the MAC Paints in Sublime Nature and the MAC Eyeshadow in Satin Taupe, which I also have not used yet!
