Back in July, JENuine Blogger and The Skin Nurse Australia organised another fantastic Beauty To A Tea event right here, in Perth! This was of course the second event that these girls have organised, and, similar to the first event, the day was a huge success and a great deal of fun!
This second event was of course bigger and better than the first event, there were more attendees, more exhibitors, more speakers, more champagne, more high tea and more goodies inside the gift bags! The event program was filled with interesting presenters, whose talks took us through six hours of entertainment.
If you would like to read my review of the first BTAT event, you can do so here.
The event kicked off with an introduction from the MC, Carmen Braidwood, and a welcome from the hosts, Ash and Jen. We followed that up with a relaxing session of meditation with Amelia Harvey to get us calmed and centred for the event. Then Dr Katherine spoke for approximately half an hour on body confidence. I absolutely loved her presentation and I felt her message was directed right at me. I’d love to see her speak again, or attend one of her body confidence camps!
After Dr Katherine spoke the bottomless champagne commenced, and then Aisling, The Skin Nurse Australia, spoke about her skincare tips and advice. Then Kylie Smith Cosmetics spoke about the current trends in injectables, which was followed immediately with high tea.
After high tea, we watched a makeup masterclass by Renata Jovevski, who gave us her professional tricks of the trade, as well as her favourite brushes and a tutorial on how to create a flawless finish and a perfect look! Some of her favourite brushes included the MAC 224 Blending Brush, the Morphe G13 Packing Brush and the Sigma E06 Brush, she also recommended the Tarte concealer for under eye concealment, and an eyelash applicator to change your false lash game forever! Jen from JENuine Blogger followed up with her blogging and business tips and advice.
After Jen spoke we had a one-hour break from presentations to walk around the room and look at all the exhibitors on display. There were twenty-two exhibitors displaying their stands and local brands, as well as a few live demonstrations.
The last set of presentations started with Will Talbot from iHair Studio, who demonstrated his easy to DIY hair styles, some timeless waves and an elegant high pony tail. Michelle Nazaroff was next to speak, she gave an inspirational talk on her life, trials and tribulations, and the power of healthy living through plants and fitness. Juvelle Behrendorff, a personal stylist, was the last presentation of the day, she spoke at length on the current fashion trends, how to curate your wardrobe and the fit VS size of items in your wardrobe. Her hot tips was to instil in us that there were no absolute body shapes, that you should build your wardrobe around quality pieces, not quantity, to cuff your sleeves this season, to layer your clothing, and ensure it is versatile and reflects your personality, and to utilise accessories to highlight your individual characteristics.
I made three purchases on the day, I absolutely fell in love with Dr Katherine’s message, so I had to pick up her cook book, Simply Forever. I also bought a MUK Curl Stick from iHair Studio, as I have been after a decent hair curler for a long time now. And lastly, I bought two soaps from Sparrow Soap, I bought the charcoal bar and the apple blossom bar too.
The gift bag that every attendee received was packed full of exciting items, we had products, samples and gift vouchers to a large variety of international and local Perth brands! This picture only shows a selection of items included, there were even more than I was able to photograph!
