{Beauty} August ’17 Empties

August wasn’t a very busy month on the beauty products front. I only managed to get through eight products… I used up three haircare, three body products and also an item from the cosmetic and skincare sections too! Basically, you will find this post filled with monthly staples for me, and you will probably recognise a few of the products that I just keep going back to!

Skincare Products:

Essentials Cosmetics Pads | $2.00 (160pk)
I’ve gone through so many packets of these cosmetic pads that I feel I don’t even need to address them in my empties posts anymore! Basically, I keep repurchasing these because they are soft, cheap, and have sealed edges, which is a must for me!

Repurchase decision: Yep, already onto my next packet!

Cosmetic Products:

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara – Dark Brown | $12.95
I’ve gone through a few of these now too! I have quite naturally thick and dark brows, so I like using this product to keep my brows in place, whilst keeping a fairly natural look. I always get it on sale at Chemist Warehouse, so it is really affordable too!

Repurchase decision: Yes, I’ve already got another tube!

Body Products:

Gillette Satin Care Vanilla Cashmere Shave Gel | $7.20
I’m always going through cans of these Gillette shaving gel, I tend to not mind which scent I pick up, and usually just go for whichever one is on sale at the time, but it is always the Gillette Shave Gel!

Repurchase decision: I already have a backup ready to go!

Schick Hydro Silk Blades | $19.29 (4pk)
It was time for a new razor blade this month, so once again I turn to my favourite Schick Hydro Silk razor and swap out the blade for a new one, easy!

Repurchase decision: Yes, this is my favourite razor ever!

Lush The Experimenter Bath Bomb | $8.95
Can you believe that I had not yet tried the classic Lush bath bomb, The Experimenter!? This month I rectified that and soaked in a very colourful tub! I really enjoyed watching the colours come off this bath bomb in layers, and I tried my hardest not to disturb the water as a clear rainbow leeched into my bath! You can see the colour transition here, where it goes from pink to yellow in the one picture!

Repurchase decision: It was one of my favourites to watch, although the scent wasn’t a favourite, so maybe I’d pass on this one next time. Although I thoroughly enjoyed using it the first time!

Haircare Products:

Batiste Dry Shampoo – Fresh & Sweetie | $9.99 (200ml)
Two more bottles of Batiste dry shampoo down? Sounds about right…
I am amazed, every month, by how much dry shampoo I go though, seriously, most of the time my hair is at least 60% dry shampoo! Thankfully one of these, Fresh scented, was gifted to me at the recent Beauty To A Tea Perth Event, and the other bottle, Sweetie, I got at Priceline’s 50% off haircare, so at least my obsession isn’t sending me broke… yet…

Repurchase decision: Yes, of course!

Lady Jayne Bobby Pins – Brown | $3.29 (25pk)
Also purchased at Priceline’s haircare sale was this packet of Lady Jayne bobby pins! I’ve always used cheap and nasty bobby pins before these, I didn’t realise that they were meant to actually stay in your hair!!! My only regret with these is that I didn’t buy the 100 pack instead!

Repurchase decision: Next time these are on sale I’m planning on buying another 100!

What products did you get through this month?
Have you used any of these items?
How much dry shampoo do you go through each month?

Thanks for stopping by.

OMG I just cannot get motivated to blog my empties, I have so many built up! Batiste Dry Shampoo is the greatest isn’t it? And I agree that The Experimenter was fun to use, but I can’t even remember the scent now lol.
